Support of the Community

Good Shepherd Communities Foundation is committed to providing support to students pursuing healthcare careers. Each year, generous scholarships are offered to students attending Broome Community College and Binghamton University. In addition, seniors from Binghamton, Maine-Endwell, and Seton Catholic Central High Schools enrolled in a college level healthcare program are also eligible to apply for a scholarship that can be used at the school of their choice. Since the inception of its scholarship program, the Foundation has awarded more than 80 scholarships.

Good Shepherd Communities Foundation also recognizes the benefits of programs and services that are offered by other local not-for-profit organizations. Community Investment Grants are awarded as seed money for a new program, or for the expansion of an existing program that will enhance the lives of older adults in the Greater Binghamton area. A total of $5000 is available on an annual basis.
